About BAMS

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) is a 5.5-year degree program (4.5 years academic + 1 year compulsory rotatory internship). The program is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Government of India.

The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.

Kayachikitsa

Internal Medicine — treatment of systemic diseases using Ayurvedic formulations and Panchakarma.

Panchkarma

Five classical purification therapies: Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana.

Shalya Tantra

Ayurvedic Surgery — management of surgical conditions using ancient and modern approaches.

Shalakya Tantra

Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat (EENT) disorders treated with Ayurvedic protocols.

Kaumarbhritya

Paediatrics — management of childhood diseases and neonatal care.

Prasuti Tantra

Obstetrics & Gynaecology — pre-natal, delivery and post-natal Ayurvedic care.

Dravyaguna

Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology of Ayurvedic drugs, medicinal plants, and herbs.

Rog Nidan

Disease Diagnosis — Ayurvedic pathology and diagnostic methods.

Sanskrit & Samhita

Classical Ayurvedic texts — Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam and Sanskrit language.

Rasashastra

Ayurvedic pharmaceutics — preparation of metallic and herbal formulations.

Kriya Sharir

Ayurvedic Physiology — functions of body systems as per Ayurvedic principles.

Rachana Sharir

Ayurvedic Anatomy — study of body structure.
